Project Eiréné is an initiative of The Moravian Church and we are looking for dedicated individuals to join us in our mission to make a positive impact in our community through mentorship.
Help youth ages 8-18 develop essential conflict resolution and anger management skills that will serve them for life.
Receive comprehensive training in mentorship, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence that benefits both personal and professional life.
Become part of a passionate network of mentors dedicated to creating positive change across the Caribbean.
The basic requirements for volunteering are simple.
Have the desire to work with children from age 8-18.
Complete training and certification in the mentorship program.
Commit to working one hour per week with students.
A Police certificate of good character may be requested.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly observant with excellent listening and people skills.
Show respect, diligence, and good time management.
Be a part of monthly check-in sessions.
Several hours of training with all training materials provided.
Assignment to schools or after-school programs for one school term (8-10 weeks).
Monthly check-in sessions and a helpdesk available to ensure support for all mentors.
