Rev. Adlyn “Binta” Mgonela is a passionate missionary and preacher dedicated to empowering others to share the Gospel with courage and compassion. With years of experience in cross-cultural ministry, she helps students understand evangelism as both a personal calling and a global responsibility, inspiring them to go, teach, and serve in Christ’s name.

Course Overview

Every believer has a role to play in God’s global mission. Mission and Evangelism 1 introduces students to the theology, history, and practice of evangelism from a biblical and global perspective. Over 12 weeks, learners will study scriptural foundations, explore historical missionary movements, and develop personal and practical strategies for outreach and discipleship in today’s world.

Week 1 - Week 2

Biblical Foundations of Mission

Understanding God’s missional heart from Genesis to Revelation.

Week 3 - Week 4

The Great Commission

Unpacking Jesus’ mandate for global evangelism.

Week 5 - Week 6

History of Christian Missions

Learning from great missionaries like Zinzendorf and beyond.

Week 7 - Week 8

Cross-Cultural Evangelism

Sharing the Gospel across cultural boundaries.

Week 9 - Week 10

Personal Evangelism Strategies

Practical methods for sharing your faith daily.

Week 11 - Week 12

Mobilizing for Mission

Equipping others and building missional communities.
